What is ivermectine 12mg used for?
Threadworm. River blindness. Scabies that creams have failed to clear. Head lice in some cases. Usually only used in cases where the cream has not worked, or in cases of infestations that cover too much skin to treat by hand.
How it's taken. The dose follows body weight. The usual figure is 200 micrograms per kilo. One 12mg tablet suits an adult of roughly 51 to 65kg. It should be taken with water on an empty stomach. An hour before food, or two hours after.
Side effects of ivermectine 12mg. Nausea, dizziness, a mild rash and loose stools are the usual complaints. These pass within a day or two. People under 15kg should not take this medicine. If you have spent time in central Africa, tell your doctor before taking ivermectine. The Loa loa parasite is found there, and it can lead to a severe brain reaction in those who carry the parasite.

No. The European Medicines Agency looked at the trial data and does not advise using this for COVID-19 outside of clinical trials. There was an effect seen in the lab dishes. There was no effect seen in the patients. The doses needed to produce this effect are outside of the approved range for the drug.
What is ivermectine 12mg usage and how do you take it?
Take it on an empty stomach with a full glass of water. Take it one hour before meals or two hours after. The dose depends on your weight. One 12mg tablet covers a mid-sized adult. Heavier patients need a higher dose.
Is one dose of ivermectine 12mg enough for scabies?
Usually not. The first dose does not reach the eggs that have yet to hatch. A second dose after seven to fourteen days is generally given. Wash bedding and clothing hot. Treat everyone in the house at once, or the scabies comes back.
